Cohen (1988: 232) speaks of his 'lack of commitment to any master plan (such as liberalism, left realism, or abolitionism), a failing, I would like to think, not of my own psyche but of the social world's refusal to correspond to any one theory.' Anarchist criminology shares this lack of commitment to master plans -- including its own -- and embraces instead fluid communities of uncertainty and critique.
