Stanley Cohen ist emeritierter Professor für Soziologie an der London School of Economics. Prof. Cohen ist vor allem für die Ausarbeitung des Konzepts der Moral Panics bekannt geworden, die er in seinem 1972 erschienenes Buch "Folk Devils and Moral Panics" vornimmt.
