August 5, 2014: Man beheaded in Saudi Arabia for torturing toddler son to death. A Saudi man was beheaded Tuesday for torturing and beating his two-year-old boy to death, AFP reported. Maqbul bin Madi al-Sharari hit his son Mohammed “repeatedly with a cane on the back of his head and the rest of his body,” the Interior Ministry said. He also punched the toddler in the face and “burned him in different parts of his body, torturing him several times,” according to SPA state news agency. Another Saudi man, Mohammed bin Bakr al-Alawi, was beheaded after being convicted of sorcery, a separate statement from the ministry said.
