JVA Siegburg

Die über 120 Jahre alte JVA Siegburg dient heute vor allem dem Vollzug der Jugendstrafe. Die Anstalt verfügt - einschließlich einer Sozialtherapeutischen Abteilung für junge Gefangene - über 650 Haftplätze und beschäftigt nahezu 300 MitarbeiterInnen.

Öffentlichkeitsarbeit der Anstalt

Die Anstalt stellt sich als Arbeitgeberin für Bedienstete dar. Sie stellt zudem ihre Aufgaben für die Gefangenen dar. Ihre Probleme - alles, was nicht in ihren öffentlichen Auftrag und in ihre Erfolgsbilanz passt - stellt sie nicht dar. Das ist wie in China, wo die offizielle Sicht der Dinge die abweichenden Meinungen unterschlägt. Im Mai 2008, nach dem Mord und den beiden Suiziden, die nicht in das "Image", die "Maske" der Anstalt passen, besuchte ich die Homepage der Anstalt. Zu finden war ein Bericht - nicht über diese Vorfälle - sondern, unter "Aktuelles", über den Besuch von Kardinal Meisner im Februar 2008. Er, so hieß es dort, "erkannte sofort die Schwachstelle dieser Lebenseinstellung, denn ein 'Maskenträger' muss immer schauspielern. Daher sagte er zu ihnen: 'Wir leben unter dem guten Anblick Gottes. Dass Gott euch anschaut, das macht euch wertvoll. Wenn ich mich nicht leiden kann, dann geht es wieder, wenn ich daran denke, dass er mich ansieht.'" Die Gefangenen leben, so der Kardinal, hinter einer Maske. Das ist ihr Problem. Die Anstalt, wohinter lebt sie? Auch hinter einer Maske?
