Arthur MacDonald (1856-1936) war der Autor von "Criminology" (1893; mit einem Vorwort von C. Lombroso).
Erster Nachweis der Verwendung des Begriffs "Criminology" in den USA.
Das Buch charakterisiert den Autor als "Specialist in Education as Related to the Abnormal and Weakling Classes, U. S. Bureau of Education; Member of the Medico-Legal Society, New York, and the Anthropological Society, Washington, D. C., and U. S. Delegate to the International Society of Criminal Anthropology at Brussels, 1892".
