Theorieintegration bedeutet "to bring parts together into a unified whole" (Liska u.a. 1989: 1). Genauer gesagt geht es um "the combination of twor or more pre-existing theories, selected on the basis of their perceived commonalities, into a single reformulated theoretical model with greater comprehensiveness and explanatory value than any one of its component theories" (Farnworth 1989: 95).
