Jonathan Simon (* ) ist ein us-amerikanischer Jurist und Kriminologe, der die Begriffe "new penology" und "governing through crime" (mit-) prägte. Nach Stationen an der University of Michigan und der Miami University Law School ist er seit 2003 in Berkeley, Ca., tätig, wo er u.a. auch die Stellung eines Ko-Direktors des Berkeley Center for Criminal Justice inne hat.
