Jeff Ferrell

Jeff Ferrell ist US-amerikanischer Soziologe. Er ist neben Mike Presdee, Jock Young und Keith Hayward einer der Mitbegründer der Cultural Criminology.

Leben

Jeff Ferrell machte seinen Bachelor in Soziologie an der Southern Methodist University. An der University of Texas at Austin erhielt er seinen Masterabschluss in Soziologie und wurde hier ebenfalls im Fach Soziologie promoviert.

Er ist Professor für Soziologie an der Texas Christian University und Visiting Professor of Criminology an der University of Kent.

Er ist Begründer und Herausgeber der Alternative Criminology Series, die bei New York University Press verlegt wird und Mitbegründer des Journals Crime, Medie & Culturel.
